Dissolution of the Hereditary Knights Templars of Britannia
- Three Shires District Commandery

STATEMENT

It was felt that an association to the Hereditary Knights Templars of Britannia was no longer honourable due to the materialistic actions of their leaders. As a consequence, a new Templar organisation called the Grand Commandery of Knights Templar (GCKT) has been formed which has promised a true Templar fraternity for all who undertake to behave in the best interest of honour, chivalry and charitable deed.

REASONS FOR BREAKAWAY

It had become apparent to the founding members alongside many other members of the KTN forum that the HKT.B had made hollow promises to individuals in offering membership of the true Knights Templar which offered fraternity, spiritual teachings and a place where honourable men and women did the right thing at all times. Under it's current leadership, it has been felt for a long time that the HKT.B only seems to be interested in making financial gain from it's membership base without any evidence of those aforementioned promises. There has been no meetings for it's members or effort to bring cohesion to it's membership base, Investitures have been constantly cancelled without explanation, Templar knowledge in the form of degrees have been nothing more than poorly created image movies with dubious esoteric information offered in return for large amounts of money and titles can be bought provided that you have the funds available. Those who front the HKT.B also have involvement in the sale of goods and items that show nothing about working with integrity or honour. Members of the HKT.B are treated purely as marketing leads who are bombarded with nothing more than ways of getting more money out of them, a tactic which seems to mirror the most famous of scam cases.

REASONS BEHIND NEW ORDER

The decision to create a new Knight Templar organisation was based on the following factors:

A) All founding members had become disillusioned with the HKT.B for the reasons stated above.

B) Although mindful that a modern order of Knights Templar was incepted in the 18th century, all founding members felt that the creation of a new 21st century Knights Templar organisation was needed to progress the groups desire to further their work actively in humanitarian concerns, spiritual teachings and becoming and acting as a true Knights Templar

The Grand Commandery of Knights Templar inception mission statement is as follows:

The GCKT exists for the active humanitarian work it can do within society. It will enhance spiritual development for those who wish to pursue it. It will provide a fraternal membership base of individuals who display seven essential qualities: sincerity, personal integrity, humility, honour, courtesy, wisdom & charity. For those who are members of GCKT, being a Templar will be by their own personal actions, not what a piece of paper says they are.
